2. Which data do we collect?

We process your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

• First and last name
• Telephone number
• E-mail address
• Address details (pickup and delivery addresses)
• Description of the goods to be transported
• IP address and browser data (collected automatically via the website)

3. Why do we collect this data?

Team Transport processes your personal data for the following purposes:

• Handling your transport request or contact enquiry
• Passing your request on to a delivery partner or carrier from our network for the actual execution of the transport
• Sending an invoice
• Contacting you by telephone or e-mail where this is necessary to provide our services
• Improving our website and our services

Legal basis

The processing of personal data is based on the following grounds (GDPR, Article 6):

• Performance of a contract: processing your data is necessary in order to carry out the transport assignment you place with us.
• Legitimate interest: improving our website and our services.
• Legal obligation: retaining invoice data for the tax authorities.

4. Retention periods

Team Transport does not retain your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We apply the following retention periods:

• Contact form: data is kept for a maximum of 12 months
• Invoice data: 7 years (statutory retention obligation)
• Transport assignments: 2 years after completion

5. Sharing with third parties

Team Transport does not share your data with third parties, unless this is necessary to carry out your transport request or to comply with a legal obligation. Where applicable, we conclude a data processing agreement with technical service providers who process your data on our behalf (such as our hosting and geocoding suppliers) to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality for your data.

Delivery partners

For the assessment, planning, execution and follow-up of transport requests, we may share your data with the delivery partner or carrier that actually carries out your trip. This concerns the data needed to assess, schedule and execute your trip: name, contact details, pickup and delivery address and a description of the shipment. Each delivery partner is an independent business with its own terms and privacy policy. On request, we will tell you which delivery partner carried out your assignment.

Other service providers

The following service providers are used by Team Transport:

• MijnDomein (hosting): for hosting our website and e-mail services.
• Mapbox Inc.: for calculating routes and distances in our price calculator. When you use the calculator, your IP address and the address you enter are processed by Mapbox (USA). Mapbox processes this data in accordance with its own privacy policy.

6. Cookies

The Team Transport website uses functional cookies that are necessary for the technical operation of the website, such as remembering your language preference. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

7. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

• Right to rectification (Art. 16): you can have incorrect data corrected.
• Right to erasure (Art. 17): you can request that your data be deleted.

8. Security

Team Transport takes the protection of your data seriously and applies appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. The website uses an SSL certificate (HTTPS) to ensure that your personal data is transmitted in encrypted form.
